THE WBP IN THE PRESS

We are grateful to all of those who have decided to mention our project in the press & help spread the word! Because of you, we have seen our numbers of supports spike through the roof. Below are some snippets of our press mentions - like this snippet to the right of when the WBP founder, Olivia, was asked to attend an interview with the BBC after an overwhelmingly successful cannula appeal!

It also helped give a boost to The Warm Baby Project and its fundraising goals. Olivia Cundell, who set the project up two years ago, said there had been a significant rise in offers of wool, materials and monetary donations, as well as people offering up their craft skills.

EAST ANGLIAN DAILY TIMES

It started out as a Facebook group set up to ask people for wool donations to enable knitters to create items which can be worn by premature babies... Within a matter of weeks the Warm Baby Project has been inundated with items donated from across the country.

GLASGLOW TIMES

Staff at a Glasgow hospital have thanked knitters after being inundated with donations of hats for premature babies.

BURY FREE PRESS

Originally just West Suffolk and Addenbroke’s hospitals received the items but now they supply 18 hospitals, 12 in East Anglia and the others in Oldham, Middlesbrough, Leicester, Derby and two in London.

People have also been sharing the stories of their premature babies and the comfort donated blankets and cardigans provided them.

GLASGLOW LIVE

And following the success of the campaign, its has been rolled out across the country and is now having a positive impact on young lives in Glasgow.
